Gauteng Covid-19 active cases at 27 140 as total confirmed cases hit 211 678
Some 536 new cases recorded.

The department said out of 128 518 contacts traced (individuals who were in contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19), 106 099 people have completed the 10 days monitoring period, with no symptoms reported and were de-isolated.
The number of hospitalised people due to Covid-19 in the province stood at 2 625. Breakdown per district of cases and recoveries:
- Johannesburg: 85 199 cases and 78 386 recoveries
- Ekurhuleni: 47 720 cases and 45 764 recoveries
- Tshwane: 46 047 cases and 38 551 recoveries
- Sedibeng: 14 370 cases and 10 621 recoveries
- West Rand: 13 649 cases and 11 216 recoveries
