KZN mum’s passionate plea for missing daughter

It is alleged the girl ran away after being suspected of taking R200.

The mother of a 13-year-old girl from Prestbury who has been missing since Monday afternoon after being suspected of taking R200 is hoping the power of social media will help find her daughter, Maritzburg Sun reports.

Nokulunga Zondo believes that her daughter Naledi Zondo, 13, a Grade 7 learner at the Prestbury Primary School, ran away from their home by jumping over the fence while she was at work in Durban.

“I think she has run away because of R200 that went missing from a friend’s house. We just want Naledi to come back home. She is not in any trouble with us. We just want her back and safe with us,” said the distraught mother. At the time of her disappearance, Naledi, who is described as dark in complexion with a scar above her upper lip and a crooked tooth, was wearing blue jeans and a black sweater.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Zondo on 072 626 2261 or 063 458 1044.
