Load-shedding reduced to stage 5 from midnight
The return of generating units overnight will see a slight ease in blackouts.

Although load-shedding will be eased at midnight, Eskom CEO Andre du Ruyter previously warned that high stages of power cuts can still be expected.
The power utility says that planned outages are currently on 5 411MW while breakdowns currently amount to 16 326MW.
This follows after a unit each at Camden, Kriel, Kusile and Kendal were returned overnight.

However, Eskom adds a unit at Duvha had to be taken off because of a boiler tube leak.
Eskom made no further announcement on their outlook for the rest of the week, but De Ruyter mentioned in a media briefing on Saturday that high stages of power cuts are likely throughout the week.
