Pretoria man killed in police shoot-out
A man was killed in a shoot-out with police in Theresapark, Pretoria on Friday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Riaana Van Aarde said: “Pretoria North police were responding to a domestic violence complaint earlier this morning,”
“When they arrived at the house, the accused opened fire. He shot at the police officers but the bullet did not hit anyone,” she added.
Van Aarde said police returned fire, and the man was ultimately killed, Rekord North reported.
Another suspect was shot and killed during a shoot-out with police in Mkuze, KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.
It is believed the suspect, along with an alleged accomplice, stormed the offices of a cash loans business just before 11am.
After a shoot-out with police, one of the suspects barricaded himself inside the building with staff and clients.
Mkuze police spokesperson Warrant Officer Zwelisha Gumbi said he added one of the suspects was wounded and later succumbed to his injuries.
The second suspect handed himself over to police shortly afterwards.
