The number of Covid-19 recoveries in South Africa now stands at 51 608 translating to a recovery rate of 53%.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa as of 21 June stands at 97 302.
The case data per province is as follows:
Eastern Cape:
- 15 751 confirmed cases
- 16.2% of the country total
- 285 deaths
- 7 738 recoveries
Free State:
- 733 confirmed cases
- 0.8% of the country total
- 9 deaths
- 264 recoveries
Gauteng:
- 20 822 confirmed cases
- 21.4% of the country total
- 122 deaths
- 4 673 recoveries
KwaZulu-Natal:
- 5 030 confirmed cases
- 5.2% of the country total
- 84 deaths
- 2 594 recoveries
Limpopo:
- 564 confirmed cases
- 0.6% of the country total
- 4 deaths
- 246 recoveries
Mpumalanga:
- 573 confirmed cases
- 0.6% of the country total
- 1 deaths
- 176 recoveries
North West:
- 2 148 confirmed cases
- 2.2% of the country total
- 5 death
- 248 recoveries
Northern Cape:
- 237 confirmed cases
- 0.2% of the country total
- 5 death
- 248 recoveries
Western Cape:
- 51 441 confirmed cases
- 52.9% of the country total
- 1 419 deaths
- 35 549 recoveries
Unallocated cases:
- 3 confirmed cases
- 0.0% of the country total
A total number of 1 328 060 Covid-19 tests have been processed of which 34 452 tests have been conducted since the last report.
The Department of Health reports 53 more Covid-19 related deaths:
- 8 in Gauteng
- 1 in KwaZulu-Natal
- 17 in Eastern Cape
- 27 in Western Cape
This brings the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in South Africa to 1 930.
The current mortality rate is at 1.98%.
