Watch: Police fire rubber bullets to break up Potchefstroom Youth Day protest

Police used rubber bullets to disperse a group of Youth Day protesters in Potchefstroom after an early morning unrest broke out.

A group of protesters caused public unrest in Potchefstroom at around 06:30 on Youth Day.

According to Potchefstroom Herald, the group was dispersed by local police early this morning.

The group was intercepted in Chief Albert Luthuli Drive, where SAPS used rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. The reason for the protest is unknown.

The situation is currently under control, and the group has temporarily moved out of town.
