Woman’s body found dumped, wrapped in two refuse bags in KwaDabeka

The body of Nkosingiphile Msomi (26), who was reported missing, was found on the side of the road.

The gruesome discovery of a woman’s body wrapped in two garbage bags has left the community shattered.

The body, found this morning, 1 April, on the side of the road, was identified as Nkosingiphile Msomi, a 26-year-old woman.

She had recently been reported missing.

Yesterday, the KwaDabeka community protested outside the station after police released the person suspected of being involved in her disappearance.

“As the community, we are startled. How can a human being do this another person? It is shocking beyond words,” said a resident, Thulani Phungula.

“No one has a right to a kill or abuse another human being. The way people described her injuries was just horrifying. We hope that the person who did this can be arrested and face the law,” he said.

Pinetown Cluster communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele confirmed that body of a 26-year-old woman was found.

“The deceased was reported missing, no one has been arrested as yet,” he said.
