Fiat gives Scudo panel van sporty S-Design treatment

There is no confirmation yet on the Fiat Scudo and E-Scudo for the South African market, with the only available options being the Fiorino 1.3 Multijet panel van SX and the Doblo Cargo Maxi 1.6 Multijet panel van SX.

Fiat Professional has whipped the covers off the Scudo and E-Scudo, wearing S-Design touches, which add some sporty flair to the panel van.

The Scudo S-Design wears some unique styling details compared with its standard counterpart. These details include diagonal graphics on the bodywork, a large FIAT logo on the side profile and a black grille sited between two full LED headlights. The exterior treatment is complete with diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels to further allude to it being more than just a light commercial vehicle. Fiat has also added several optional packs to enhance both style and functionality. The Icon Pack includes painted bumpers, front fog lights, and folding side mirrors. The Winter Pack offers heated front seats and a heated leather steering wheel. The Comfort Pack features keyless entry and start, improving accessibility for busy drivers.

The Scudo S-Design is available in both diesel and electric versions. The diesel variant features a 2l BlueHDi engine producing 132kW, paired with an automatic transmission. The electric E-Scudo comes with a 100kW motor powered by a 75kWh battery, offering a range of up to 352km (WLTP cycle).

Inside, the Moduwork enables the Scudo to convert the three-seat cabin into a workstation while increasing cargo space. Meanwhile, the Radio NAV DAB is intended to integrate navigation, and the Dynamic Surround View camera offers a 180-degree field of vision for easier parking and manoeuvring. Safety features include Blind Spot Detection, parking sensors, and a rearview camera.

The Scudo and E-Scudo S-Design will be launched in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Austria as a Fiat-badged alternative to other Stellantis products wearing the same platform. These are namely the Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert and Opel Vivaro. No confirmation on the model for the South African market has been revealed, with the Fiorino 1.3 Multijet panel van SX and the Doblo Cargo Maxi 1.6 Multijet panel van SX being the sole offerings for local buyers.
