Smart #5 Brabus debuts with bold design and 475kW

Smart is making a strong statement in the electric-SUV segment with the debut of the new smart #5 Brabus, a performance-focused flagship model blending everyday usability with bold design and impressive performance.

As the most powerful version in the smart #5 range, the BrabusS variant delivers a punchy 475kW through an all-wheel-drive setup. Thanks to Launch Mode, it sprints from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.8s. Built on an 800V platform, the smart #5 Brabus supports ultra-fast DC charging at up to 400kW. Under ideal conditions, the 100kWh battery can charge from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes, while offering a claimed WLTP range of up to 539km when fully charged.

Visually, the smart #5 Brabus stands out with an aggressive stance. It features 21-inch Brabus Monobloc Z wheels, red brake callipers and a sportier exterior finish. Signature Brabus design cues — like special badging and trim — give the SUV a performance-focused identity that sets it apart from the standard model.

Inside, the cabin continues the premium and sporty theme. There are microfibre-trimmed seats with DINAMICA details, an Alcantara steering wheel with illuminated Brabus lettering and ambient lighting with 256 colour options. Heated rear and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and high-end touches like a microfibre roof liner round out the interior upgrades.

Tech-wise, the smart #5 Brabus is fitted with dual 13-inch OLED displays and a 20-speaker Sennheiser Signature sound system. The setup includes a central lifting speaker and support for Dolby Atmos, delivering a surround-sound experience for both driver and passengers. Brabus CEO Constantin Buschmann describes the new SUV as the result of two brands pushing boundaries. “It’s all about delivering an electrifying ‘one-second-wow’ effect that truly stands out,” he said.
