Suspect shot dead during armed robbery at Reservoir Hills Mall

Sydenham police in Durban are investigating a case of business robbery after six men with rifles attempted to rob a jewellery store at Reservoir Hills Mall this afternoon.
Police spokesperson Captain M Lazarus said there was a shoot-out and the owner of the shop shot back, killing one of the suspects and possibly wounding two others, Rising Sun Overport reported.
Lazarus confirmed that no civilians were injured during the robbery.
“One 9mm pistol was recovered on scene,” he said.
