KZN shopkeeper fatally shot while opening store

It is believed four armed men stormed into the shop while the store owner was opening for the day.


A Doonside shopkeeper in KwaZulu-Natal has been shot dead while opening his store on Main Road at about 6.45am this morning, South Coast Sun reports.

While details are still sketchy, it is believed four armed men stormed into the First Pride Mini Superette shop while the store owner was opening for the day, and he was shot dead. It is not known whether anything was taken from the store.

 Motorists are urged to avoid Main Road, as police are combing the scene for evidence.

The men were apparently seen fleeing the scene by a passersby.
