AKA praises ‘growing influence of African music’

AKA added two more accolades to his already impressive resume on Saturday when he won Best Male Southern Africa and Best Collaboration for his continental smash hit single, All Eyes On Me at the 2015 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) which took place in Dallas, Texas.


AFRIMMA is an award show celebrating the beauty of African music and artistry. The award show honours some of Africa’s top music artists, producers and cultural influencers. AKA was competing amongst the best in Africa and his wins are just testament to the strong year he has had.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank my loyal fan base throughout the continent and in my own country who voted for me at the 2015 AFRIMMAs in Dallas, Texas. International accolades serve to recognise the growing influence of African music around the globe. As always, I am very proud to represent my country at the highest level. Thank You once again, it’s the start of many great things to come!” expresses AKA.

The rapper is currently in New York on a press promo and will also be meeting with various artists and producers.
