A woman was found dead in a home in Homelake on Wednesday morning.
Randfontein Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst told the Herald the incident has been described as a house robbery.
“It is believed the woman had been killed violently with a knife. Another woman survived and was transported to hospital,” said Ernst.
The exact number of suspected robbers involved in the crime is unknown at this stage.

The Herald was also informed on scene that a local security company had received a panic alarm at about 9.53am.
