Man arrested for terrorising vulnerable women
The suspect was granted parole after serving a 64-year prison sentence on similar charges.

A Joburg man was arrested for terrorising vulnerable and senior women in Mondeor and surrounding areas, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, October 4, Comaro Chronicle reports.
The suspect had been serving a 64-year prison sentence for similar crimes when he was granted parole. Since then he has allegedly committed similar crimes.
At a recent breakfast for Seniors on the Go, on September 19, which was coordinated by Michelle Pelser (Mondeor CPF precinct), one of the seniors, who had been a victim, complained to Advocate Phumeza Futshane, chief prosecutor in Johannesburg, who was a guest speaker at the breakfast.
“I feel the justice system is failing us,” she said.

Futshane asked for her case number, adding she would look into it, and later contacted Mondeor Police Station and spoke to Captain Delia Marcovich.
Marcovich immediately got on to the case and made a breakthrough with assistance from Mondeor police detectives and the detective tracing team, and the suspect was arrested.
The suspect will be appearing in court.
“Well done to Mondeor police, NPA and to Advocate Phumeza Futshane for her assistance in this case. By working together, police, CPFs and the residents, we can make our suburbs safer and arrest more criminals,” said Pelser.
