A headless torso was eventually discovered in a shallow river bed.
The badly decomposed, headless body of what is believed to be a female was recovered in the Mandeni area in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday (Wednesday), Zululand Observer reports.
This comes after police were notified of a dog running around with with a human head in its mouth on Tuesday evening.

Yesterday members of Empangeni’s K9 Search and Rescue Unit were dispatched to search the immediate vicinity around the homestead of the dog’s owner.
A headless torso was eventually discovered in a shallow river bed.
Police are yet to confirm whether the body and head belong to the same person.
