DA and Zille reach settlement – report
The premier will reportedly be giving SA a full apology for her remarks on colonialism.

As part of a settlement agreement News24 says it was made party to, the Western Cape premier is reportedly expected to tender the nation a full apology on Tuesday morning.
News24 reports that former DA leader Helen Zille has buckled under the pressure from her party and will tender an unreserved apology for her colonialism tweets.
It was announced that she would be attending a press conference with DA leader Mmusi Maimane.
Zille previously said she would refuse to apologise for having tweeted that not all aspects of colonialism were bad, because she felt the DA wanted her to apologise for defending colonialism, which she said she had never done, in her view.
She was suspended from all DA-related activities last week. Maimane explained that the suspension was due to her refusal to apologise and the ongoing damage that her comments have been causing the official opposition.
It’s unclear what the future of Zille will be in the party following widespread demands for her to be removed as premier, particularly from the DA’s strategically important fellow opposition party, the EFF.
