'I'm also happy that we met for a week, and that's what we need to deal with the issues confronting us,' says Zuma.

President Jacob Zuma says he is very happy with how the 5th ANC national policy conference went.

The conference, which started last week Friday, ends on Wednesday.

Flanked by his bodyguards, Zuma appeared relaxed when speaking to members of the media at the conference venue in Nasrec, Johannesburg. He visited several media outlets stationed at the venue.

He said he was very happy with how the media had been covering the conference. Regarding the conference itself, Zuma said the level of debate was also better compared to previous conferences.

“I’m also happy that we met for a week, and that’s what we need to deal with the issues confronting us,” Zuma said.

Meanwhile, the briefing on social transformation that was scheduled to get under way at 9am on Wednesday was postponed to a later time, as journalists were informed the president was already on his way to the venue to visit journalists.
