‘Testimonies from people about how the music has touched their lives makes all that I do worth it.’

THANK YOU TOUR. Dr Tumi poses with fans during his Gathering of Worshippers tour.

Taking his heavenly music across the country, medical-doctor-turned-pastor Dr Tumi is on a three-city tour to launch his latest album titled Gathering of Worshippers.

The tour started in Johannesburg at the Mall of Africa in Midrand on Friday, where over 300 die-hard fans and supporters stood in line for over two hours in anticipation of meeting their favourite gospel singer.

Dr Tumi then journeyed on to Canal Walk Mall in Cape Town, where the crowds cheered for the first-time SA Music Award winner and Metro FM award recipient.

Then he was off on the last stretch of the tour which took him to Gateway in Durban.

A representative from Universal Music, Kentridge Tlale, said the idea behind the the tour was to bring the gospel singer closer to the people.

The Gathering of Worshippers tour was to connect Dr Tumi with his fans and supporters to show appreciation for the love they have shown him during his career.

The gospel artist welcomed all his fans with a gracious smile. He said: “It’s the greatest pleasure to be able to say to people who come out to support you ‘thank you’.

“The entire weekend is just to create a moment to thank everyone for the great support they have offered me. “To be able to say that in person and also hear testimonies from each person is really precious.

“I am so grateful to everyone who came through to support me and the love from young, old and everyone in between has been overwhelming.”

Dr Tumi added: “The words of appreciation and support that I have received are truly something to take home. The testimonies from people about how the music has ministered and touched their lives makes all that I do worth it. I just want to say thank you to the whole of South Africa for all the love they have shown me and for making me a part of their lives.”
