KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police have made a breakthrough and arrested two suspects linked to the murders of four people in the province.
The incident happened at a house in Dundee on Friday evening.
Arrests
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the two male victims were aged 31 and 35 years old.
“The two suspects who allegedly shot and killed four people at a house at Mzomusha area in Dundee were arrested by police in Dundee on Sunday night, 25 May.”
Netshiunda said police received a “tip-off” from a community member about the suspects involved in the murders.
“The information was operationalised. The two suspects were arrested in the Dundee CBD.
“The provincial organised crime unit detectives have taken over the investigation. The suspects will appear in court soon”.

Shooting
Netshiunda said the two gunmen opened fire on two of the victims who were outside their home.
“The suspects then proceeded inside the house, where there were more people. It is further reported that the suspects demanded money and drugs from a 29-year-old woman.
“A scuffle reportedly ensued between one suspect and the woman, which led to her being shot multiple times,” Netshiunda said.
Netshiunda added that the suspects searched her and took an undisclosed amount of money.
“A 14-year-old girl was also shot multiple times and died at the scene. Two other people, a woman who was inside the house and a man who reportedly managed to get out after hearing the first gunshot, survived the shooting unscathed.”
Olorato Mongale murder
Meanwhile, Gauteng police are searching for a man who uses the name John (pseudonym), who is believed to be linked to the murder of a 30-year-old Johannesburg woman.
According to police, Olorato Mongale was last seen on Sunday went she went on a date with her “alleged killer” who picked her up from her residential complex driving a white VW polo with cloned number plate that belongs to a Toyota Hilux.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said Mongale’s body was found in less than two hours at around 4:50pm in Lombardy West on Sunday afternoon by the Saps with the assistance of community members.
