Suspect breaks into home, takes a bath, helps himself to cat food and wine

The suspect treated himself and even wore the homeowner’s clothes before he was arrested.


Police are investigating a case of burglary after a suspect was caught inside the house he tried to rob, George Herald reports.

According to George police spokesperson Capt. Nolonwabu Tshengu, the owner of the house came home after work and found the man in the house.

“Before the suspect was caught, he allegedly took a bath, wore the woman’s clothes, and helped himself to cat food and wine. When the home owner returned, she was threatened with a knife,” Tshengu said.

The woman ran to safety, where she called the community policing forum and police. The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards.

At the time of going to press, the suspect’s age and details regarding his court appearance were still unknown.
