Five people were injured when a truck overturned on the N8 about 50km from Bloemfontein late on Saturday night, paramedics said.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find a truck on its side on the side of the road. Four people were outside the truck and a man was found inside the vehicle, ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.
After being assessed by paramedics, the five were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Pelonomi Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
It was understood that the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to overturn, Meiring said.
