Coal truck crashes into car on road between eMbalenhle and Kinross

According to Langamed Services South, the truck driver said the brakes on his truck failed, causing the horse and trailer to jacknife and crash into the car.

Two people sustained minor injuries when a coal truck crashed into a vehicle on the morning of 10 January at a four-way stop where Rotterdam Road intersects with the double-lane road between eMbalenhle and Kinross, Ridge Times reports.

The truck driver was allegedly on his way to the workshop to have the faulty brakes repaired when the accident occurred.

Both the motorist and passenger in the car sustained minor injuries. They were treated and transported by Langamed and ER24 Ambulance Services to hospital.
