At least two people have reportedly died after volatile protests in Diepkloof, south of Johannesburg.
It is believed that a protester was hit by a truck that was trying to escape residents who were looting it during the demonstration.
Another person has been injured in the protest and taken to hospital, according to eNCA.
The situation remains tense.

Diepkloof protest
Traffic was disrupted in parts of Soweto due to the protest by some Diepkloof hostel residents.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) said the busy Diepkloof Interchange has been severely affected.
One truck was torched, while another was looted during the protest.
