Malema leaves followers in stitches after joke about Pedis

The EFF leader has shared a post making fun of how Bapedi are said to pronounce some words.

EFF leader Julius Malema has left his Instagram followers in stitches after sharing a joke about his people and how they are said to pronounce some words.

Malema, a Mopedi man himself, reminded his followers that the Durban July was here, sharing how Pedis are said to pronounce the name of the event.

”Somewhere in South Africa a Pedi guy is ready to go to Tepen July.”

The post was making fun of how Pedis are said to struggle with pronouncing the letter ‘B’.

It goes on to say the same Pedi guy would say they’re going to see “Peps Wotumo”.

Malema said whoever came up with the joke was just jealous of his people.

“Bathomile, akere le ya ba bona. Ba re jela mona, jealous down,” said the EFF leader in Sepedi.

His followers, including Sepedi speakers, found the post funny (fortunately) and said nothing, indeed, would stop them from going to the “Tepen July”.
