Twitter reacts to Zuma’s impending Cabinet reshuffle

By Citizen Reporter

As reports emerge that President Jacob Zuma fired 15 ministers and deputy ministers, Twitter went wild in reaction to the news. According to ANN7, Zuma fired nine ministers and six deputy ministers, following an urgent meeting with the ANC’s top brass in Pretoria on Thursday.

It remains unclear which ministers and deputies got the chop, although it is almost certain Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas got axed.

Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula spoke out on the reshuffle, saying he respected what came his way.

Another user posted an image of the allegedly axed ministers and deputies, which include Gordhan, Blade Nzimande as well as Dr Aaron Motsoaledi.

One Twitter used questioned when the madness would end as ANC MPs lacked ‘loyalty’.

Yusuf Abramjee, meanwhile took a swipe at the Gupta family, saying it appeared as if the ‘Atul National Congress’ had spoken.

Another user said the ANC’s top six had no ‘backbone’, apparently for their failure to halt the reshuffle.

Another Twitter user questioned when the Zuma is stepping down party would take, adding that the reshuffle was “too much”.
