Spring in their step

SPRING Fiesta, held annually at Boksburg's Wild Waters Complex, is back for the third year on September 21 with an excellent line-up.

The record label Soul Candi, who are the event’s producers, have announced that the spring celebration, which takes place in Ekurhuleni, will feature the legendary house music pioneer Dennis Ferrer as the international headliner for the festival this year.

Having waited over seven years since he last performed in South Africa, superstar DJ and prolific producer Ferrer will finally be back to play to a local audience. His name is synonymous with some of the biggest house anthems, around including Touched The Sky, How Do I Let Go and, most recently, Hey Hey.

Supporting Ferrer at this year’s event will be international German DJ and producer Andre Hommen, as well as over 50 of the hottest local DJs and artists across a total of five stages. The festival will also be featuring a number of amazing production and lighting surprises to amplify the party experience on offer.

Other Spring Fiesta artists on the day long (the shows kick off at 11am, wuth the last artists taking the stage at midnight), exciting bill will include AKA, Reason (pictured), MiCasa, DJ Kent, Liquideep, Kid Fonque, Black Coffee and Crazy White Boy.

The event welcomes back The Admiral & Jahseed and their “African Storm” offering. Lulo Café returns to host his “What About Soul” floor, where he will be dropping soulful deep house beats for the ladies.

DJ Franky will be taking revellers back to memories of dance floors of the past on the “Old Skool Is Cool” floor with some industry legends & Soul Candi Live will be keep things moving on the Mains Stage. Anyone wanting to make the event particularly memorable should consider buying a VVIP package.

This will allow you to sit at the heart of Wild Waters Complex on the fabulous Nicci Beach deck, with a full view of the main stage. You’ll have comfy seating, shading & fine mist sprayers to keep you cool as the day begins to heat up.
