Suspected drunk reverend pushes driver off bridge

The victim was rushed to a hospital with moderate injuries.


Police have arrested an alleged drunk driver, believed to be a reverend, and is said to have been driving recklessly along the John Ross Parkway (R34) towards Empangeni, in KwaZulu-Natal, yesterday noon, Zululand Observer reports.

Reports from the scene indicate the driver initially pushed another driver off the road near the Alton turn-off and fled the scene before pushing another driver over the bridge opposite Inyanga Motors in Empangeni.

The victim sustained moderate injuries, and has been transported to hospital for further medical attention.
