Three teenage boys ‘gang-rape’ girl, 14, at a party

The alleged rapists, aged between 15 and 17, have since been arrested.

Police have arrested three boys aged between 15 and 17 for allegedly gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in the Zulu Jump informal settlement in Kagiso, on the West Rand.

The girl’s mother claimed her daughter went missing on Saturday, July 1, at about 3pm, Krugersdorp News reported.

Desperate to find her daughter, the woman apprehended one of her daughter’s friends two days later, manhandled him and demanded to know the whereabouts of her daughter.

She was told her daughter was last seen at a certain house in the area.

The friend also told her mother the girl was gang-raped at a party on that day.

The mother reported the matter to the Kagiso police, who then followed the leads and arrested three boys.

They were detained at Kagiso Police Station, and a case of rape was opened against them.

All three suspects were later transferred to a youth rehabilitation centre.
