Two men arrested for abalone worth R10m

Officials made the discovery after pulling over a vehicle transporting abalone.


Two men have been arrested for being in possession of abalone worth R10 million, Mosselbay Advertiser reports.

They were taken into in Blackheath, in Cape Town, on Tuesday night.

The duo will make an appearance in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

This bust follows a another one last weekend, in which perlemoen worth about R5 million was seized near Somerset West.
