Vehicle stolen from Gauteng found in Mpumalanga

Police caught the suspects during a stop-and-search patrol held after residents protested on the road in demand of water in their area.

Two suspects who were driving a white Toyota Conquest with a Gauteng registration plate were apprehended on Thursday for possession of a car stolen in Katlehong, Johannesburg, Mpumalanga News reports.

This happened during a stop-and-search patrol in KaBokweni held after the Nkohlakalo residents protested on the road in demand of water in their area.

KaBokweni police spokesperson Captain Shirley Ngomane said police initially stopped the vehicle because its identification matched that of robberies in KaBokweni.
