VIDEO: Kendrick Lamar’s BET Awards performance
Rapper Kendrick Lamar gave an electrifying performance during last night’s BET Awards ceremony which was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

Kendrick Lamar’s latest album has broken the first-day record on Spotify after its surprise early release
The Compton, California native performed the song Alright, taken from his critically acclaimed album, To Pimp a Butterfly.
King Kendrick delivered the song, which featured an extra verse, from atop a vandalised police car, while background dancers brandished the American flag in a statement against the reported incidents of police officers in the US shooting unarmed black men.
Later that evening, Lamar won the award for Best Male Hip Hop artist, which he had previously bagged back in 2013.
