Woman left paralysed after vicious attack

The victim was stabbed 17 times in her face, and sustained 11 more wounds to other parts of her body.


A man charged with the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, an attack that left her paralysed after being stabbed multiple times, will appear in the Empangeni Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Tuesday), Zululand Observer reports.

The attacker stabbed the 26-year-old victim 17 times in her face and inflicted 11 more wounds to various parts of her body.

The incident occurred on June 11 near KwaMbonambi when the suspect visited her home, attacked her and left her for dead.

She survived the ordeal, spent a month in hospital recovering, but is now paralysed after her spine was damaged.
