Holiday access discs printed for Westbrook residents
Access discs do not allow for parking at the public beach.
If you live on North Beach Road at Westbrook Beach, then you will be happy to know the access discs for residents have been printed for the Christmas season.
Residents can collect their access disc from Oyster Beach, No 82 North Beach Road.
You need to complete the form when you collect your disc with your name, address, ID, cell number and vehicle registration.
The discs are purely to assist the Metro Police and allow beachfront residents into North Beach Road, on busy beach days/nights, so they can get to their homes.
But they do not allow for parking at the public beach.
Beach parking for the public, is on a first come, first served basis.
Once the parking is full, then the police will turn traffic away.
For safety reasons, the police have to keep the roadway open for emergency vehicles.
