Ballito Junction play area finds a new home at Radha Roopsingh Primary

Ballito Junction CEO Geraldine Jorgensen said the equipment will no doubt have a positive impact on the school's learning environment.

The popular Ballito Junction kids’ play area has found a new home.

Previously located at the mall’s open space, the equipment has been donated to the Radha Roopsingh Primary School in Etete.

Junction management visited the school last Thursday for the official handover.

The donation was made possible after the play area had to make way for the mall precinct’s extension project which began earlier this year.

The eagerly awaited opening of the upgraded facilities is scheduled for November 30.

Ballito Junction CEO Geraldine Jorgensen said the equipment, which included slides, swings and climbers, will no doubt have a positive impact on the school’s learning environment.

The Junction’s primary development contractor, WBHO, facilitated the relocation and instalment of the play area at the school.

Radha Roopsingh Primary principal Nathi Zungu was overjoyed.

“On behalf of the pupils, we extend our heartfelt thanks for this generous gift. Our pupils can now enjoy a secure space where they can express themselves, indulge in their playful nature and cultivate vital cognitive, physical and social skills. This kind donation is truly treasured,” said Zungu.
