Taylor Swift takes over the Grammy Awards

Incase you missed it here are the highlights from last night's Grammy Awards.

THE annual Grammy Awards ceremony was once again an excitement filled rollercoaster ride.

With Taylor Swift not only snatching the album of the year award, but also getting the tongues wagging with her women empowering speech (which was suspsiously directed at Kanye West, who in his recent track, Famous, claims to have been the mastermind behind her success) and wowing the crowds with her preformance.

What’s more the 26-year-old pop princess also made history as the first woman to ever win album of the year twice. Her first win was secured in 2009 for her album, Fearless.

Rapper, Kendrick Lamar reaped an astounding five of his 11 nominations throughout the course of the evening.

R&B singer Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson won record of the year for their upbeat track Uptown Funk!

Meanwhile, British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran won his first Grammy, for his track, Thinking Out Loud and newcomer, Meghan Trainor was named the best new artists.
