Roads north of Durban clear as March and March continues
Traffic is flowing normally across Durban, with no protest-related disruptions reported on major routes as monitoring continues.
Traffic was flowing freely at the Umgeni Interchange and along the M4 in Durban on Tuesday morning, with no sign of protest activity as of 08:00, according to security monitoring.

Excellerate Services spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said the company’s Aviation Unit was conducting aerial surveillance over the eThekwini region while its National Command Centre continued to monitor the situation.
“As of 8am, no disruptions have been reported in the Durban area. Traffic is flowing freely, all major intersections remain open, and no protesters have been observed at the Umgeni Interchange or along the M4,” said Van Reenen.
“We are monitoring the N2, N3, Chris Hani (Old North Coast) Road, the R102, Dumisani Makhaye, Queen Nandi Drive, Umgeni Road and the M4,” he added.
He added that the National Command Centre would continue monitoring the situation throughout the day and provide further operational updates as the planned March and March protest unfolds in the Durban CBD.
