FOUR men, reportedly armed with handguns, hijacked a Durban resident of his white Mercedes Benz outside the KFC on Umhlanga Rocks Drive yesterday (Sunday). The incident occurred at about 6pm.

According to an eyewitness who did not want to be named, the suspects were driving a black Mini Cooper with a white top. The men pulled up alongside the vehicle and one of the suspects pointed a 9mm pistol at the owner of the Mercedes Benz.

According to the CPF the Mini Cooper had Gauteng registration plates and was reported stolen from Pinetown a few days ago.

They demanded the owner vacate the vehicle but did not take any of his valuables. They drove off with both vehicles intact.
