Glen Anil tot’s whereabouts remain a mystery

After hours of search the whereabouts of the alledged missing toddler is still unknown.

LOADS of confusion still surrounds the reports of a two-year-old toddler who was seen wandering down Longwoods Drive in Glen Anil at 9am this morning.

Some reports have claimed that the toddler was found, but investigations conducted by Jeff Verity, of Burra Community Assistance, and other members of the community have debunked these allegations. After hours of searching the safety and whereabouts of the boy is still unknown.

The only eyewitness at this stage is a resident from Bougainvillaea Drive who told the Northglen News that saw the tot walking along the road and wa approached by two women.  But according to  Verity who is actively involved in the search for the child, there have been reports that the two women were driving around frantically knocking on doors trying to find the child’s parents.

David Hodge, a local resident, also reported seeing the two women with the child driving along Allamanda Road.
One of his construction workers also claimed that he saw the same toddler with an elderly man, walking up Allamanda Road and turing into Honeysuckle Place.

Witnesses have allegedly made a report at the station, but police are unable to confirm this. Greenwood Park Neighbourhood Watch chairman, Robin Candy  said there was no evidence to support that “such an incident ever occurred”.

Carol Van Tonder of the Durban North Umhlanga Crisis Team said on their Facebook page minutes ago that no parents had come forward to report that their child was missing.
