Edmonstone murder: suspect arrested
Greenwood Park SAPS confirmed that they have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing of Stephen Edmonstone.

MONTHS after the Durban North community was rattled by the cold blooded murder of Stephen Edmonstone in his Collard Road home in Umgeni Park, police have managed to arrest a suspect.
Details regarding the arrest are still unclear, but W/O Lutchman Sing, acting communications officer at the Greenwood Park SAPS, said that the investigating officer made the arrest last night.
Edmonstone was shot and killed in August. According to police, the suspects entered the property through the bathroom window, and began assaulting Edmonstone’s partner, Alvin Meyer. The 63-year-old went to investigate once he heard the commotion, and confronted the men, who shot him three times.
In September, the Northglen News reported that police struggled to lift fingerprints from one of the weapons recovered at the scene. The weapon had been dumped into the swimming pool.
The suspects grabbed a laptop before fleeing the scene. They were picked up by a getaway vehicle.
