Masked gang storms Queen Nandi business

The armed men tied up the security guards with their cell phone charger cables.

FIVE masked suspects stormed a business premises on Queen Nandi in the early hours of yesterday morning, attacking the two guards at the site.

According to W/O Leon Audh, spokesman for the Greenwood Park SAPS, three of the armed suspects kicked in the door of the guard hut at around 1.30am and held the two men at gunpoint. They demanded to know where the canteen equipment was being stored.

“The complainant and his colleague were both tied up with cell phone charger cables and searched, and their cell phones and wallets were taken by the suspects. While the suspects entered the canteen, which was still under renovations, the complainant and his colleague managed to escape and hid in a nearby bush,” said Audh.

One of the guards sustained injuries to his ribs while his colleague sustained injuries to both his hands and his face, said Audh.
