Sunningdale residents bound and robbed

The suspects were reportedly armed with knives.

A SUNNINGDALE couple were tied up by armed men this morning in a house robbery. According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North SAPS, the incident occurred at about 2.15am on Blossom Close.

“The residents were confronted by the men who were armed with knives. They tied the couple up using cable ties and made them sit on the ground. They then ransacked the house stealing various items including clothes, cell phones and a Playstation. According to the homeowner, it’s unknown how the suspects gained access into his home,” he said.

Deokaran added it was unclear whether the men were on foot or using a car. This is reportedly the second incident on the same road in a space of two days.
