Thief caught red-handed with frozen loot

Security company put frozen food thief on ice after Redhill business theft.

A MAN is cooling his heels in Greenwood Park SAPS jail cells after he was caught attempting to steal an armload of frozen food from a Redhill business on Saturday morning. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at about 11.30am.

“Our officers were alerted to a theft in progress from an industrial premises in Moreland Drive. Security guards on site of a neighbouring property noticed a suspect throwing boxes over the fence and called for assistance.

“We managed to apprehend the suspect who was found with the loot of frozen food products. He was handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation,” he said.
