Armed men storm business premises

Suspects stole money, cell phones and other electronic goods.

FOUR armed men stormed into a Briardene business store and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash on Monday. Greenwood Park SAPS spokesman, W/O Leon Audh, said the men walked into the store and held the owner up at gunpoint.

“They proceeded to ransack the store and made off with money, cell phones, a laptop and computer spares. The men fled the scene in a white Toyota Hilux,” Audh added.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects. They are urged to contact Det/Const NP Mhlongo on 073 862 1700.

This business robbery comes just hours after a man was hijacked  in Belmont Road, Greenwood Park. According to the police, a suspect was arrested and found with unlicensed firearms in his possession.
