Taxi overturns in N2 accident

Four people were injured in the accident.

FOUR people were injured after a taxi and a car collided on the N2 near uMhlanga on Wednesday afternoon. The collision caused the taxi to overturn and land in the centre island.

According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, police would be investigating the accident.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a taxi and a car collided, causing the taxi to overturn. When paramedics arrived they found the twisted frame of the taxi which had come to rest on its side in the centre median. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events will form part of the police investigation.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that four people sustained minor injuries. Medics treated them at the scene before they transported the injured to various hospitals,” he said.
