Wanted fraud suspects arrested

The men told employees at the business they were selling CDs to collect donations for a religious organisation.

TWO suspects who were wanted on fraud charges, were arrested yesterday. The men were arrested in Glen Anil after asking a local business to buy CDs for donations to a religious organisation. The men gained access to the business by telling security that they were policemen.

“Just after 10am on Wednesday, Marshall Security were called to the premises of a business in Glen Anil regarding two suspicious men that were attempting to solicit donations from the business. The assistance of the South African Police Services was sought, and after questioning, it was revealed that the men were not police officers,” said Marshall Security’s, Kyle van Reenen.

Further investigation revealed that both men were wanted for prior charges of fraud. The men were arrested by Greenwood Park South African Police Services.
