SlimeFest comes to Durban

Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of slime-related activities and games all day long in the Interactive Slime Zone.

USHAKA Marine World and Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) are gearing up to make a great big splash with the first ever African edition of SlimeFest from 8-9 April.

Hosted by Joey Rasdien and Nomzamo Mbatha, SlimeFest 2017 will see kids and families flocking to Durban to bask, battle and slither around in glorious green slime, while enjoying singalongs from beloved Nickelodeon TV stars SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora and Friends, Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol, and amphibious heroes, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Rounding off each day will be an out-of-this world concert featuring high octane performances from stars such as Cassper Nyovest (8 April) and Mafikizolo (9 April), and many more.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of slime-related activities and games all day long in the Interactive Slime Zone, featuring a host of slime related activities from a Slime Blaster Battle to a Slime Shower, a Zorb Ball Slime Pool and Slime Sumo, while character singalongs start at the Dolphin Aquarium from 9am. Each day is rounded out with an awesome 3-hour concert at Wet ‘n’ Wild, kicking off at 3:00 pm, and blending contemporary music and stars with – you got it – lots and lots of slime.

Tiny tots can look forward to games, treasure hunts and soft play in the Pre-School Zone at uShaka Kids World. Tweens and teens can enjoy skateboard workshops with professionals in action or even try themselves. To complete the fun, there’ll also be plenty of SlimeFest branded clothes, toys, posters, stickers and glow wear – and, of course, slime – plenty of it!

Tickets for SlimeFest are available for sale at Computicket and uShaka Marine World’s online ticketing service from 21 February priced from R250 for a single ticket and R230 per ticket f

or a family of 4 (R220 for groups of 10 or more). Group tickets only available from Computicket. Entry is free for children under 3 years. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
