It's unclear what caused the fire.

A FIRE has broke out at a house on Wimbledon Place in Durban North. Firefighters from the Durban North fire station are currently on scene battling the blaze. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, it is unclear what caused the blaze.

“A man approximately in his 50s was treated for minor smoke inhalation. Another woman was also treated for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire at this stage is unknown. The home is well alight and the road has been closed. Firefighters are still battling the blaze,” he said.

Earlier this month, several cars, a caravan and a home were damaged in a fire on Inverness Crescent.
