Workers robbed of their salaries in Glen Anil

The men were robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

WORKERS from a local business were robbed of their salaries on Friday afternoon on The Curl. According to Marshall Security’s Tyron Powell, the workers who were driving an Isuzu bakkie back to the office, were pulled over by five men who were armed. They were robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

“The suspects, who were in a grey sedan, stopped in front of the bakkie forcing the driver to stop the vehicle. The armed suspects jumped out the vehicle and demanded the cash. They then fled towards Chris Hani Road (North Coast Road). Unfortunately the workers could not make out the registration of the vehicle,” he said.

No arrests have yet been made.
