Scores injured in M4 Glenashley accident

The four-car collision occurred just before the Glenashley off-ramp.

AT least 20 people were injured in a four car collision on the M4 in the vicinity Glenashley off-ramp on Friday evening. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the accident involved two taxis and two vehicles.

“Crisis Medical as well as Netcare 911 were on scene. At this point it is unclear what caused the accident but around 20 people were injured in the incident. The patients were treated for injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Traffic was severely affected on the M4 going north,” he said.

This is the third accident on the M4 since this morning. Earlier on Friday, a car landed on its roof after crossing over the hedge separating the Ruth First Highway and Fairway.
