Knights U15 team end 7s season unbeaten

The school paid tribute to coach, Dean Sibson, who guided the boys to victory.

NORTHWOOD School’s U15 Sevens rugby side recently ended their season on a high. The team were unbeaten in four tournaments played during this term.

The Knights first triumphed against Grey Bloem College at a tournament in Glenwood before winning the cup title at the Maritzburg College festival.

The third festival was hosted by Hoërskool Voortrekker where Northwood beat Westville 31-29.

The final weekend’s tournament was hosted by DHS, a tournament that the boys won in superb style leaving no doubt in anybody’s mind that they deserved the final cup they had won.

The boys beat St Charles, Transkei Journey and Kearsney in the pool matches and faced hosts DHS in the semi where they won 34-0. This led the boys into the final against Kearsney again where the team won an exciting game of rugby 29-0.

Overall Northwood won 22 games in a row. The school paid tribute to coach, Dean Sibson, who guided the boys to victory.
